Switching On and Off

If there is something wrong with your Opera VPN, you need to switch it off and then turn it on again. You can find the required button through the VPN option located at the top of the browser.

Switching off Extensions

There may be an extension that comes with specific issues, which may affect the work of your VPN. Therefore, you need to turn off the extensions in your browser, which can be done in the following way:

Deleting the Browser Cache

Turning Off Your Antivirus Software

If you have antivirus installed on your device, this may be a problem for your VPN. This does not mean that you should uninstall your antivirus, but you can turn it temporary off when you need to use your VPN connection. You can do it by right-clicking the system tray icon and then the turn off option.

Checking for Updates

When something goes wrong, you should check updates that you might need to install. To test the latest updates, you need to do the following actions:

  •      Go to the menu;
  •      Click on “About Opera” and you will find the update window;
  •      Your browser will start checking for updates and will download updates that are currently available;
  •      Click on the “Relaunch Now” button.
